» COMPLETED SETS ARE DUE MIDNIGHT of OCTOBER 30TH IN YOUR TIME ZONE.

TECHNICAL THEMES
o1. Multifaceted - your icon must contain at least 3 different images of Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader.
o2. Complementary/analogous colour palette - your icon must be created in accordance with either of two colour schemes: have dominating 2 complementary colours or 2-3 analogous colours.

Complementary colours are opposite to each other on the colour wheel: yellow|purple, yellow orange|blue purple, orange|blue, orange red|blue green, red|green, red purple|yellow green. The high contrast of complementary colours creates a vibrant look and works well when you want something to stand out. To make the icon with two dominating complementary colours look more harmonious try to give them similar lightness or saturation.

Analogous colours are next to each other on the colour wheel (e.g.: green, blue green and blue). Analogous colour palettes are often found in nature and are harmonious and pleasing to the eye. Make sure you have enough contrast when choosing this scheme. Use one colour to dominate, a second to support. The third colour can be used as an accent.o3. Earth and Sky - create your icon with the help of one or few images from the following two galleries: one, two.

o4. Text - you must use at least 2 different fonts on your icon. Check out the Workshop @ Icons_Concrit for tips and inspiration.
o5. New release - your icon should be just slightly edited cap from the movie, basically how it would look like if it would be released in better quality. Try to play with Brightness/Contrast, Curves, Sharpen and other instruments that improve the image, but keep it looking natural. You can change the colours of the original picture (even drastically, from warm to cold, for example, if you would love to see the scene this way), but they must remain appropriate for being in the movie, no radioactive tones.
o6. Light - the part of your icon must be flooded with light.
Dodge Tool, brush and light textures can be useful.

INTERPRETIVE THEMES
o7. Surreal | resembling a dream, being or seeming fanciful or imaginary
o8. Alienated | estranged, withdrawn, feeling unloved
o9. Harmony | concord, unity, amity, peace
1o. Jedi Guardian | "Republic's first line of defence against the thousand enemies who seek to destroy it". Focusing on martial skills, piloting and space combat. Representative of the Order and the classic Jedi weapon - the lightsaber.
11. Patronus | In the Harry Potter Universe a positive energy, spirit guardian. Patronus takes the shape of an animal that reflects the personality of the creator. To cast this charm one must call to mind a very happy memory.
12. Quote: "Commander Skywalker, I don't think I've ever met anyone quite like you. First you win a war single-handed, and then you perform a marriage ceremony" ("Jedi Trial" by David Sherman and Dan Cragg).

Note. If you find it extremely difficult to associate one of the themes given with any images or scenes of Star Wars, you can ask us for help. Help on ideas for the themes won't be given until October 1st though. This gives you some time to think of nice ideas yourself.

CURRENT NUMBER OF ENTRIES: o7 sets.
