my current Lululemon obsession...
I love Lulu pants/crops, but dislike most of their tops.
Mostly because I don't like tanks with built-in bras, which is probably 80-90% of Lulu tanks. I've never been able to make S/M/L or clothing size sports bras work for me; I wear actual bra sizing sports bras. I own one Lulu tank (without a built-in, but currently too large and in my 'get rid of' stack of clothing), and a couple of SoulCycle/Lulu long sleeve tops, but otherwise I stick to Lulu crops and pants, and that's about it.
Enter the Lululemon Speed Squad tank:
which I now own in three different colors. How many colors is too many colors to own the same tank in before it's a problem?
This tank is from last spring/summer, as far as I can tell. I stumbled across the black tank on a clearance rack a few months ago and fell so in love with it that I hit up two other clearance racks to get it in other colors. It's pretty much perfect:
- NO built-in
- Straps, not a racerback. Lowish neckline, no scoop neck/high neck. I'm a fan of all of this.
- Luxtreme fabric. So incredibly moisture wicking. I can wear it during a SoulCycle double (I have worn it during a double) and while I might have sweat pouring off of my body at the end, the tank is almost as dry at the end of the second class as it was at the start of the first one. No more changing tank tops in the middle of the SoulCycle hallway between classes.
- I love the cut of the back of it (picture pulled from Google, because I am lazy):
It flares open a bit more than that at the lower back during spin class, but that's ok with me.
- and, best: I got them all at clearance prices. :)
