The Friday Five: Cellular/Mobile Phones

1. When did you get your first cell phone? Either 2003 or 2004 -- I can't remember precisely. My husband brought it home (along with one for himself), handed it to me and said "Welcome to the 20th Century." (Yes, he knew it was the 21st Century.)
2. How old were you at the time? 48 or thereabouts.
3. What type of phone was it? Something very basic. I can't remember the model.
4. What type of phone do you have now? Something very basic, though it does have a camera and I can send texts, laboriously, by pressing the numerical keypad multiple times, etc. It's a Samsung SCH-u430.
5. Do you prefer calling or texting/mailing? I prefer calling. Texts cost me 20¢ each and take a long time for me to type out. That being said, in some situations texting is priceless.
