I just watched Breakfast at Tiffany's, and then happened to read an article in The Economist about books to read that said:
What is the last book you read for fun?
“Madame Bovary”, by Gustave Flaubert. I'd recommend it to any woman contemplating marriage and to none who have gone ahead and taken the plunge.
http://www.economist.com/displayStory.cfm?story_id=16249219&source=hptextfeature I've read that book, and I agree with the latter part of this person's statement, but not the former. Regardless, it's hystiercal.
Warning--only read the book if you want to be depressed about relationships.
