TV goes puff, Open Mike night and going out,
On Monday the telly went "puff". So it doesn't work at all. It just went off as I changed the channel just after watching "A Beautiful Mind", lucky it wasn't in the middle of the film...
Yesterday evening I went out with my friends Deirdre and Vicky. We started at this jazz bar place where this bloke from NY I had a fling with was playing and leading an open mike night. We stayed while he played and then listened to some poems a girl was reciting, she was very good and recited them really nicely. The NY bloke ackoledge my presence but I was playing it cool (I think) and he touched my head/hair in a weird way, as if he wanted more... That was before he played, after that he was being funny and friendly with me and my friends and when we laughed he told us off joking about our disruptive behaviour.
Then we went to my usual pub, "The Black Horse", to have a banter with Jay. It was very funny because Jay is from Glasgow, Vicky has been living in Edinburgh this past year (in Morningside, posh area) and Deirdre in Glasgow (the girls are from Aberdeen originally) and they kept picking on each other, specially Jay on Vicky for being from a posh neighbourhood. We payed for the first round but then he gave us the second ones for free. We were asking about how much it was and how much it would've been and then Deirdre said joking "and if I had sex with you?" and he said "for free". Quite a laugh :-D.
After that we went to Maremagnum for a bit of a dance. We wanted to have an ice-cream first but the Ben & Jerry's was closed, last time Deirdre and I went there when we were hot after dancing it was open at 1-1:30am, not fair... We kept changing of club when they put a song we didn't like, it was fun.
I ended up arriving home at about 3:30am and finally went to bed an hour later. I had to wake up at 8am to go and pick a number to see if I can get to French lessons in the Escola Oficial d'Idiomes, I'm 1.910, very weak chance. If I don't get in I'll just go to the modern languages program at my uni. After that I had to go to my uni for some chat about the activities of the student building and then had a very boring tour round the library with some History of Art students because I had forgotten my time. It was very boring because they treated us as though we had never been in a library before, the other students were nice though... This afternoon I just slept and didn't even have lunch, I had to make up for the sleep I lost last night...
Tomorrow I'm posting some more poems I like in Spanish and English, the one in Spanish is by Mario Benedetti and goes to TMCado.
