Well we went and looked at it and it didnt look anything like the pictures. The building has that expensive feel to it, but the apartment itself is pretty old. It reminds me a lot of the old apartment that Amanda wanted to rent when I decided to keep my one in Conway and she moved into the older apartment. It looks a lot like that apartment, except it has a little more room, nice hardwood floors and better paint/prettier walls. But it has a lot of the "old building" problems like a wierd layout with having to go through the only full bathroom in the house to get to the "office" or alternate bedroom. And it has mostly on the street parking which I'm not fond of... and it didnt have a washer and dryer nor did it have hookups for them.
The girl I went to see it with hated it. I mean, I didnt like it because the price was much more than what it was worth, but she nick-picked everything about it. The photos she was emailed were a bit misleading. Plus she seems to be a rich girl and her ideal place is way out of my budget. So she's not even an option for moving in with me at my current place.
The rent was actually $1050, so I was a little off there, but not enough to make it $600/person. Funny thing about the land lord actually. The apartment is owned by a Hendrix professor (who apparently was moving out of it to move somewhere else and decided to rent it out). lol.
Kristen is looking into a couple of other places and she said she'd let me know if there was anything I might be interested in. As far as taking a smaller room for less money, I might consider that if it's something worth it, but I dont fancy the idea of cramming a whole apartment's worth of furniture and belongings into a small room again. But Kristen said she'd let me know if she finds something I might be interested in. Apparently she's looking at a 5-bedroom house this weekend.... if she doesnt give in and decide to rent her expensive dream house in Maumelle....
