The definition of success....

Le Bec Fin is, without question, Philadelphia's finest restaurant, earning Mobil's five star rating for 26 years. It's the only restaurant in the state that has that priviledge, and only one of 17 in the whole country.

Back in 2001, the restaurant lost one of its stars--but managed, in the next year, to win it back--something that had never happened before, and hasn't happened since.

Those five stars didn't come without grueling hard work and much personal sacrifice on the part of its head chef and owner, Georges Perrier. 20 hour days, seven days a week, for years, made Le Bec Fin what it is.

Monday, it becomes something different.

Yesterday, Georges told Mobil that they could have their stars back, thank you very much.

Because now, for the first time since 1967, Georges wants to put fun above prestige in his list of life's priorities.

"I always had fun before. Always. But you know, the fun left my soul because the five star Mobil was demanding. It was so stressful....I want to have fun. If I have ten more years to live, I want to have fun....I don't feel I want to be judged again..."

So Georges, with his newfound dedication to making his life more joyful, more fun and more balanced, is going to have what will be, no doubt, a great Monday.

What are you going to do Monday morning?

happy stuff, food, great chefs, good things
