In spite of the romantic interlude yesterday, much was accomplished. I got the rest of the grass dug out of the rain garden bed, and laid out five large bags of garden soil (I have already told my DH that if he ever again sees me getting the large bags, in the name of economy, instead of the smaller ones that I can actually pick up, he is to toss me over his knee and spank me back into my senses). So that bed is ready to plant.
I'm looking at my day today, and there are two ways it could go.
The tomato bed needs cleared, as does the front flowerbed, and the herb garden. I should really run the tiller down the side of the drive to de-weed as well. And the weather today, cooler and more overcast, will make outdoor chores a lot less debilitating than working under a cloudless sky with temps in the high seventies.
At the same time--dear GODZ, I need a haircut, and I have to grocery shop, at least for a few things, and I still haven't done the great fondant experiment for Paul's cake.
It's one of those situations where I'm paralyzed into complete inaction because I don't know what to do first.
I think I'm going to go to the market first, get that out of the way, and then start in the yard...
Looks like the haircut is going to wait...again.
