I don't know about you, but I'm not the kind of person who can lay my clothes out the night before in order to get dressed more quickly in the morning. And it isn't because I'm not organized--it's because, well, hell, even though that red sweater seemed like a good idea at 7 last night, I just might not be feeling the "red" in the morning, you know? I may be more purple, or yellow, or blue. And that red isn't going to cut it, because I'm not feeling the red love this morning.
I've been tuned into MSNBC this morning, and there has been much twittering about what Mrs. Obama is going to be wearing tomorrow. And yeah--I'm a girl, I'm into that. But supposedly, it's all been this huge secret, and nobody has been given the word as to what she has actually chosen to wear.
Well, breaking news, folks--do you know why no word has been released as to what she's going to be wearing?
Because she doesn't know.
And it made me jump up and yell when they said that.
Michelle, it appears, wants to be able to feel the love for what she wears on this most important of all days, and she won't know what looks like that love until tomorrow.
But you know, while this is one of the more frivolously fun aspects of a celebration like this, I said to Paul that, while I have no doubt that what she wears will be stunning, it's going to be the lady in the dress that makes that dress beautiful.
And I'm dying to see.
inauguration weekend,
