For the last two days, the "Pro-Life Campaign to Defend the Rights of Unborn Babies" has called this house.
Twice, they have gotten a polite "no, thank you".
Today, I wasn't so polite.
Today, I said, "Don't ever, EVER call this house again!"
And then I hung up.
The phone rang back immediately.
I picked it up and said, "Hello?"
She said, "Would you like us to put you on our 'Do Not Call' list?"
I said, "What part of 'don't ever, EVER call this house again' was unclear to you? Or is this just a harassment call?"
She said, "Thank you," and hung up.

Why is it that the people who absolutely should not breed, for the sake of the gene pool, are the ones who are the most insistent that everyone should do so?
I'm trying not to don my tin foil hat here, but I'm wondering if this isn't going to be happening more and more over the next few months. I'm wondering if the wingnuts are planning a door-to-door, telephone-to-telephone campaign to preserve all those things that we all just voted against, National Do Not Call registry be damned.
I knew that the neo-cons were not going to go down without a fight. But don't they get it? THEY LOST. Too bad, so sad, don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out. No one in this house is interested in the pro-life, anti-gay, bridge-between-church-and-state, war-on-Christmas, America-is-a-Christian-country agenda. Even in this little burg--even in this conservative little corner of Pennsylvania, they lost. And they lost big.
I'm not usually the kind of person whose response to dissent is "sit down and shut up".
But, yanno, SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP.
And in the words of Dr. House, "It's a FETUS."
