Whew!

Today, my DH was supposed to be scheduled for a CAT scan, so we both took the day off....

And then it turned out that he wasn't scheduled for a CAT scan. Scheduling hiccup.

So...We had a day off. Which, I do have to say, completely rocked. The weather this morning absolutely sucked, so it wouldn't have been a joy to go into either work OR up to Bethlehem, so sleeping in and relaxing over coffee instead was a welcome relief.

I baked all day again--I am down to two more kinds of cookies to make and then I'll be DONE!

Yes--there will be pictures. Be warned.

I was able to make sure that I had at least one type of every kind of cookie--sugar, peanut butter, nut, spice, chocolate, chocolate chip, shortbread--and all that's left is oatmeal and biscotti. So I feel like it's a nice, well-rounded mix.

(Oh man--I just looked to my right and caught a glimpse of Rod Blagojevich in jogging tights on TV...That was more than I needed to see.)

I think I'm going to try to get the biscotti done tonight so that all I'll have left to do tomorrow is the oatmeal, which are astoundingly easy.

My co-workers are having their team Christmas luncheon tomorrow, and will be leaving the office around 11, so I'm assuming that I'll be off about that time as well--although the last two times this happened, a sales rep managed to keep me busy while the rest of them partied. Still, believe it or not, I'd rather bake than socialize with people I work with.

You know--I got spoiled, all those years ago--working with people I could actually consider my friends.

I miss it.

It's a lot easier to spend that kind of time with people you LIKE, and I'm really too old and tired to pretend.

coworkers, baking, holiday, friends
