Today I ran 13 miles (a half marathon) and feel good. Then first half of the run was physically demanding for me and for the last hour and a half it was pouring rain. But I feel great now. I completed the run in about 2 hours and 10 minutes. I think I'm feeling stronger with each long run which is good as they get longer and longer. Also, I've signed up for a 5 mile race on new years day and am thinking about doing the San Francisco half marathon as part of training during the first week in February. It's a flat paved course which will be good for me.
I'm not sure I will ever do another marathon though because training is exhausting.
