[009] Heart

One would think that the heart would feel more then just the blood running and pumping within it. When something so thick and rich it must feel more then the simple rush of the blood pumping past. The average adult has approximately five liters of blood living inside of their body, coursing through their vessels, delivering essential elements, and removing harmful wastes. Without blood, the human body would stop working. Blood is the fluid of life, transporting oxygen from the lungs to body tissue and carbon dioxide from body tissue to the lungs.

Yet there is no other feeling then the pounding of a raging heart when angry and the slow drum beat when relaxed. Ancient books used to claim the heart was the center of all thinking and memory process. The country that believed this was in a very distant place though their ideals of the human body seem almost captivating. Truly, if the heart was indeed the lead role of the bodied functions, I am curious just how the heart would respond then.

The only fact is that hearts feel nothing but the endless drum inside ones chest. A pulsating clock in which soon will run out. Death. When something so fragile and so tender can no longer pulsate the liquid of life within ones veins you simple cease to be. If one was to ever exist beforehand.

How pitiful. What an odd desire to wish of something more of such a fragile organ.

Ponderous thoughts are attacking me it seems.

Last night was very beneficial. On one of my late night walks to escape the ties of insomnia I found a man under the moon. Interesting he was for he looked so hurt and broken yet continued to hold himself strong. He refused to let death take hold and suffocate him. His eyes seemed to change with deep rage to anger and to submission as well. He is strong, I could simply tell by every single action he took. Offering him something he could not refuse he accepted. Easily influenced but he shall come to understand me as well as my motives on helping him. Soon, he shall grow stronger and take back what is his.

Other items that concern me are fairly limited as of late. With the dealing of a massive line of opium dens on the outskirts of the city and the vast problems that are thriving within Alexander and ShinRa, I find myself busy and yet unconcerned. ShinRa is run by idiots and with each passing day it slowly disintegrates further. Pitiful that the city is run by such people. Though I respect them for giving me a market in which I can benefit from, I can't help but wonder what the political system would be like if someone else were to control it.
