Un/fortunately, even if you managed to remove the content from your website, archive.org and Google's cache will preserve its contents in virtual perpetuity.

I don't mind that so much. It's not that I'm trying to hide anything, I just don't want it to look like Analog is active when it isn't. It's just strange that it's all still up there considering we never paid for the host for this length of time.

Yeah... is it possible that the domain is still yours, but you guys are not aware of it? Maybe your domain registrar/provider terms are that they automatically renew your domain unless you manually cancel it? Maybe you did not cancel it and might even have a past due and still open account with them?

Mac tried to contact them many times, to no avail. Also, their support boards have had no updates for about two years. I see people's old posts saying "hello?! Is nobody here to help?!" stuff like that. I think they went out of business or something. So, who knows?

If they would have gone out of business, your website would have disappeared. Maybe their business is just comatose and no one has the courage to pull the plug yet. Whois says that your domain registration is paid until the end of this year. That your website is still up even when you're not paying, it's worth digging into, maybe even do a free credit check to make sure they did not report you as a bad debtor. But that's just me, paranoia and myself thinking of the worst possible scenario :-\
