Yeah my resources are updated and the post is right under this one, so blah (
wonderland__ makes the best tiny-text brushes, ;P)
Now for the really fun part:
LIGHT TUTORIAL! Omg, :3
Now, I know there are a lot of Manga-Coloring Tutorials out there but I never saw one with an easy shading technique that I've been using forever (Which really isn't major), so I thought I'd post it here!
1:
BASE! Crop it, Fix it, Sharpen it, Bop it!
2:
T3h colorXz
For his hair I used #955B00. It looked to dark for me, so I lowered the opacity to around 45%-50%
3:
Now my special step for coloring Manga, :]
Duplicate the Hair Layer and.... get the eraser tool. Erase with the Faded Circle brush on the parts that you don't want/you want to be not-shaded so for example....
My Original Hair Layer:
My duplicated layer:
I then set the duplicate to 83% opacity. (When I shade, I usually leave it at 80%-95% because shading is subtle, correct?)
4:
Light's Skinny-Skin-Skin
#FED89C @ Multiply @ 46% Opacity
I didn't wanna shade his skin because, not much to shade.
5:
His shirt.
#4D0000 @ Multiply @ 93% (It was too dark at 100% and if it isn't don't ruin my dreams, XP)
6:
Same thing for the hair applies here
Duplicate then erase, :)
Original Shirt Layer:
Duplicated:
NOTE: Both Shirt Layers are set on Multiply @ 93%
7:
I saw this in another tut (Don't know where, T-T) to boost the brightness
Add a layer of #7FC6E6 on Saturation and change the opacity to how you see fit.

8:
Text, Brushes, Borders, Frames and all that.
I just added "InSANiTY" in Carbon Type Pt. 11
BUT THEN, I rasterized it, and Free Transformed the T and rotated it to be very DeathNote-y
FINiSh!
NOTE: On the "Original/Duplicate" Examples it shows white becuase I wanted to show the difference
OTHER NOTE: You don't have to color in the lines if the bacground is pure black
Now with the final result, I went past the hair and colored over his eye, but I didn't erase it because of three reasons:
1. In some animes/mangas some characters have their hair transparent over their eyes
2. I did it with this one:
And I think it looks pretty. :']
3. Laziness
Do not follow exactly, mess around with the steps and make it yours!
If taken (The Ichigo icon or Light Icon) credit, and if you like the tutorial, comment! Please, :p?
