Finally. A bit of time that I've stashed away in order to collect my thoughts. I didn't even realize that we were in the middle of this HUGE morning rush until it was over. I found that I was almost robotic in that I took the orders, shouted them to Ceci, took their cash and sent them on their way. Little communication as possible. I think that ( Read more... )

Nothing wrong with a ramble, it's what we all do here in some form or another 8)

I know exactly how you feel regarding life. Alot of times I ask myself why I bother with doing anything since in the end, it won't make one jot of difference. It's also why I put up 'walls' around certain thoughts in my head... Ignorance is bliss after all, and I figure if I have to jump through all these hoops in life and I have no way out of it, i'm going to try and not think about it... at least, until a wall cracks and I have to patch it... those are days i just lock myself in my room in front of my computer and try to lose my sense of what's wrong with things... Not a very healthy strategy to be sure, but, well, it doesn't really matter in the end, does it?

At least when you deal with idiot customers, you don't have 'welfare days'... *shudder* or having to deal with customers who ask your friend, who doesn't have a smock on, who's carrying a shoulder bag for help while you're standing behind the cash with the 'shoot-me-blue' color vest... o_O

Too bad you couldn't keep a taser behind the bar for idiot customers...

I suppose that it isn't healthy, but I can't argue about how it really doesn't matter in the end. I mean, I am still wondering why the hell I ever convinced myself that there is a "purpose" in my life. I mean, so you can say something like "Well, look at Mother Teresa! Her purpose was to help India's poor!" but... was her "purpose" really worth anything at all? So she helped a bunch of creatures that pollute their own resources to stay alive to continue to pollute even MORE of their own resources. I swear, we humans are just like fruit flies. Let me elaborate.

So you put like five or six fruit flies in a jar with enough fruit, air, water, etc to stay alive for quite some time. At first, the flies are fine. Then they start having babies. The babies grow and start having babies. The flies lay their feces on the fruit, instead of being stragetical and placing their deposits on a different side of the jar. After about a week or two, all the flies in the jar are dead. They have successfully managed to pollute their food supply to the point of starvation, and they've also managed to make so many babies that there wasn't enough food for them all anyway.

Need I go on?

Sounds like you work at Walmart... okay, so prepare for a STUPID AS HELL question... do they even have those in Canada? Cause here, the Walmarts are doing the whole "proud to be American" thing and what not, so I was just curious. So! Umm... now that I've shamed myself by asking something stupid...

Yeah, you don't need to go on. It seems there is a tendency to do that...

i USED to work at Walmart, and yeah, we have 'em up here, it's not a stupid question. A stupid question would be something like 'do we all live in igloos?' *smirk*

I remember when I was in training at Walmart (after the mass hiring o_O) and I was watching the instructional videos, and I was thinking: "You know, this looks a LOT like the films we saw in history class about Nazi propaganda, all it needs is a kindly old man surrounded by children in an arena of some sort..." And lo and behold, the next scene: the Walmart founder, in a stadium, with kids. I was just thinking "Holy crap! formula propaganda!"

Then I quit 2 months later, I still have nightmares about the place sometimes... o_O

I'm not trying to say anything... i'm merely acting as how my career should potentially be and stating an observation as a scientist. *smirk*

Ahhhhhh, you only WISH that was a real Kodak moment, don't you? Honestly, the only way you'd get a picture of me is if you received my permission, and then had the print approved by me. Now, if you were to get one that I didn't expect and then try to keep it...

Heh, let us not get there, hmm? I don't want to go into my entire "This is how I'd kill you and why" speel. *feeble grin, the first in awhile now*

Only you would find that fun... in an sarcastically amusing, weird-o sort of way, that is.
