Paresu rant
WARNING: If you are a die-hard Paresu fan or ship Paresu/Goten, then this entry is not for you.
Ok, I'm doing this rant not because I'm biased due to shipping Goten/Rei. I just don't see this "canon" relationship going anywhere. I'm even mind-boggled that this pairing came to be! -.-;;;
Well, where do we start off? Oh yes, the fact on why they began dating. Goten claims it's because it was the first time he's known her "without a boyfriend". Ok, seriously. I know you're desperate, Goten...but could you give a girl like that some space?! If she's had boyfriends before, that means two things: 1.) You were never her type. and 2.) She doesn't have a firm grasp on what a relationship truely is supposed to be like. Next, her character design. Is it me or does it have Bella Swan written all over it..? >.>
(*Yes I know that GT was waaaay before Twilight. I'm only pointing out that either way both characters are Sues, no exceptions. XD*)
She's supposed to come out plane yet with striking features. Unfortunately, since the GT animators draw everything crappier than it was in DBZ so she just came out boring...(And with a huge forehead like Sakura from Naruto...-__-)
Ok, now her IQ.
...Jesus Chirst, a lamp is smarter than this girl!!!! ><
She's a total airhead. Even Tohru from Fruits Basket can beat this girl in a battle of wits. Hell, at least Tohru gives good advice even if most of it belonged to her mother!
Now, I understand people are going to call me out saying that she doesn't know about fast food because her parents must have had her quite sheltered. But seriously, the girl knows how to use a celphone but not know what a burger or an ice cream cone is?! *sigh* Oh, and another element to look at. When Goten catches her in mid-air she claims she's never been held by any of her boyfriends before and has never been on an actual date with any of them. So what does she do, suck their blood out or make them her personal servants?!
Next, her personality. I got to give her credit. She's sweet and nice but God it just gives you cavities! You only see her either happy or frightened. Not really an ounce of bravery or the slightest backbone on this girl.
In conclusion, she doesn't deserve a guy like Goten(no matter how much she may admire him) and he deserves better. I'm a bit stumped by the fact that other women in the show look at Goku and Gohan saying they're attractive and all but Goten has to try so hard...>=\
So let's list of the main points on why she's not an ideal match.
1.) Chi-Chi doesn't like her.
2.) Her parents seem too overprotective. So Goten can't win them over. Since he has no job and lives off his mother. XD
3.) She seems to have been falling for the wrong type of guy, which spells disaster for when she meets a good one.
4.) Can't go anywhere out the 'damsel in distress' category and remains helpless.
5.) Never once has she nagged. EVERY chick on DBZ's a nag! Or puts down her man in one way or another...with a passionate love accompaning that.
6.) She's a bimbo.
7.) She's EASY. Easy to impress, easy to get, easy to-Ok, I'll stop here...XD
8.) She's boring and not much to pay attention to.
So there it is, all the points on why I don't think this is a match made in heaven. Ana, out!
