here's my opinion on the Chronicles of Narnia: THe Lion, the witch, and the wardrobe (can't say i'm not updating :P)To begin with, i agree with crazymeow, the actor who plays Peter is reaaaaaaaaaaally gourgeous but kinda babyfaced. All through the movie i kept going, "7ayete' how cute!"... The movie really is SOMETHING. the story's great, the ( Read more... )

God I loved that movie soooo much!!!! I wanna buy it on DVD. Everyone at school was picking on me for watching it cuz i was talking about it so much the next day. I think saying that it was more powerful than Passions. in the Christian sense is an understatement.lol. but yeah, it still did deliver the message of sacrifice. Now I'm not Christian or anything, I'm Muslim, but I love Christianity. I love reading about it and stuff, i guess cuz it's fun to see how so incredibly similar Islam and Christianity (and Judaism) are. There's always just those few minor differences that separate them but they're all essentially the same belief system. I don't really like to classify myself as just Muslim anyways. Cuz i think taking in beliefs from all three teaches you to be a better person than just one of them, so i just like to say I believe in God.lol.

i agree: the 3 'heavenly' religions (as they smtimes call judaism, christianity, & islam) are very similar, and come back to a common belief, although they differ in the way to express it and the people they follow, and their traditions and such. However they all believe in one god, who is supreme, almighty, omniscent... & they all believe in judgement day & life after death... & i agree with u that one should know about many religions unfortunately, altho i know quite a bit about islam & of course, christianity, i would like to get to know all religions including christianity, better...

I know quite a bit about Catholicism since a lot of people in my family attended Catholic schools (including my mom who went to a Catholic/Jesuit school in Lebanon even tho she's Shi3a. It was when her family was living in Bikfaya. I don't know if i spelled that right). And I know u have to know a lot about Islam since u live in Lebanon.lol. That's like half the country. Sadly though, i don't know all too much about Judaism. I guess it's because it's not big in Lebanese culture. There used to be Jews in Lebanon but my mom said they all left during the war. Not like Christianity which is huge in Lebanon so of course the Muslims know all about that. And of course since there's resentment towards Israel and all that, I don't think a lot of Arabs know a lot about Judaism and how close we all really are.

i agree, but i think that ppl, especially over here, use religion as means for a fight, so they deny all link btwn those religions.i mean during the civil war in lebanon, they divided the country into two parts based on one's religion, and now arabs are against Jews, cos israel is jewish, but some innocent jews have done nthng wrong & sympathise with arabs, y should they b judged according to their religion? personally i'm against judging ppl by their beliefs, or race even if it has become common, i know cos many times when i travel & tell ppl i'm lebanese, they're surprised cos 2 many, the lebanes, are either terrorists,or oppressed, or really poor ppl & they are astonished 2 know we've heard of the net :P & i know many muslims who have been abused at airports worldwide cos ppl directly assume they're terrorists... Shouldn't we be over that, havn't we learned from history not to judge ppl & segregate them??? ( i know i kinda got off the pt, & i'm just blabbering ;))

Seriously, everyone who comes out of lebanon gets terribly treated at the airport cuz apparently lebanon is a "terrorist country."

i was really annoyed by the difference in service when travelling to london or to lebanon (on the same airlines) , i mean when going to london, we each had our own tv with a choice of 8 channels, the flight attendants were really nice, we weren't delayed at all, and when we dropped directly inside the airport, but wnen we were going to beirut, we had to go down a long flight of stairs that looked like stairs leading to some long forgotten cave, then we were all crowded in a bus for 15 min, after we got to the plane, we had to wait another 15 min inside the bus before being allowed inside the airplane, inside, the flight attendants were coldly polite & there was 1 mini-screen for every 9 ppl with only one program running...& we had to wait 45 min b4 taking off... some might say its a coincidance but i have kinda detected a pattern over my numerous trips so...
