so yeah, things rock
I got the job!! they called on wednesday and offered it to me and of course I was like, "I would LOVE to accept this position! thank you!" so I start on 11 august which means I can't go to pennsic *sniff, sniff*....BUT....I got a great freakin' job so really, I can't complain. it is .6 which means that it's slightly over half-time so I will get full benefits - medical, dental, and vision. I'll also get life insurance (if I want it), retirement, AND they are going to reimburse me for the classes I have to take for my education certification!!! yaaay! so I emailed shippensburg university yesterday to ask them to add my request for education certification to my grad file and they said it should take about a week or so for the review to go through but I don't really see there being a problem. I'm already an accepted graduate student so I guess it should be pretty easy for them to add a few education classes to my scedule over the next 2 years. I think I only need like 7 classes or something to get certified so that's like, nothing. and last night my nephews spent the night in our new house and when the 5 of us (me, nico, william, matthew, and robert) all went for a walk after dinner and ice cream, nico informed me that he wants to call shawn "daddy". so "daddy" he is. shawn and I were talking about it and I was seriously fighting back the tears and he goes, "hey, I love you and pickle and I'm proud to be his daddy and your future husband". so yeah, it's official. we're 100% a family. so strange to me, this all is. I keep waiting for the rug to move out from under me because I just can't believe that so many good things have been happening in such rapid sucession over the last few months. anyway, so yeah, I need a shower and the kids are occupied right now so this might be my best time to get one. hopefully they'll stay occupied for a while because I also have to make blueberry jelly later before they go bad. my nephew william and I are sitting here sounding out our names backwards. mine is enna nospmoht or ajna nospmoht and his is mailliw sniknej. we're so freakin' cool!! haha and.... I'm out.
