the flat

I'm so fed up of diy and doing the flat up. My hands are raw from all the scrubbing at the end of the day. Still it shouldn't take too much longer now. The bedroom has been given two coats of lilac paint. The paint came free from my boyfriend (he had loads of it lying around spare from his parent's place) and he did the two coats too! You should have seen the state it was in, before I tackled! I've never seen filth like it unless you count Kim and Aggie's TV show! Despite all his attempts (like supergluing things to walls!?!) I'm pretty sure he didn't get a penny of his deposit back, in fact had he been my tenant I might even have taken him to the small claims court for the damaged stuff he "fixed" as that all cost money to repair.

Although the previous owner did a crap job with some of the diy herself, so that needed fixing. I've been very very lucky (fingers/toes/anything and everything else you can think of crossed) that no major work has been needed like replacing the whole bathroom or kitchen! You ought to come and see it, if you fancy, before I rent it out as you're so close by.

OMG it sounds like it was a trial! I guess the last rented place we moved into was disgusting when we moved in, so I can imagine...

I'd love to come see it! How exciting!

It's all a lot of hard work, isn't it, but worth it in the end. You'll have somewhere really nice to move into and the fact things aren't bodged means they're more likely to last for when you want to live there yourself.

Hey dear,

I have liked your entries on the Loos. 1) May I add you and 2) can we go out for Cevapi some time?

Of course, I've just added you and as for no 2) I know the perfect place in Ealing. By the way you can also get pretty decent ones in Lidl's frozen section.
