Sims Medieval - Second Look

So - apparently I'm pretty dumb too.

Despite playing the tutorial and reading all the little pop-up lessons, I completely missed an entire submenu at the Create-A-Sim screen. And that menu? You guessed it, has all the sliders so you can tweak every single facial feature like crazy. Therefore, I retract my complaint about the limited nature of customization. Plus, I know this will make people happy - there is a pointy ear slider!

Now, some screen shots:

One of the loading screens. I like this new style for the cutscenes and loading.

A little peek at the UI. You can see Talia's two responsibilities just above her two needs. She needs to write two laws and hunt some bear meat. To the right of her portrait icon is her Focus meter - low because she's inside and Talia's an outdoorsy Sim - and to the right of that a couple of her buffs, one of them is for the tasty Salmon Soup her servant made her and I think the other one was for making a friend (finally!)

This is Charlotte, my new Bard hero. She is vain which is why she is playing in front of the mirror. One complaint I still have is the rigidity of the camera, there is a very limited zoom (unlike Sims 2 where I could get nostril shots if I needed to) and because of the "fourth wall" style of showing rooms, you can't do a 360 rotation (hence why we have Charlotte's profile instead of her face).

When the Hero Sim does certain actions it functions much like going to work or on tours did in Sims 2. They disappear into the location (a.k.a "rabbit hole") and you get status reports via pop-up. Again, I like the woodblock look of this one, plus I happen to agree that this whole quest was a terrible idea.
