Last night I had music practice in Burlington and had about an hour to kill between my PT in malden and the rehearsal, so I went to the Burlington Mall to kill some time.
In between finishing my dinner at the food court and realizing that it took me a lot longer to finish my dinner than I thought, I visited the Lego store and discovered a new
lego set which I had never seen before. I didn't have a lot of time to check it out as it was about now that I realized that I had about 10 minutes to get to the church that was about 15 minutes away. But before this revelation I did get a quick look at the box, and later on I looked for more info on the web (sadly the set is new enough that there's not much info on it.)
My first impression was "this looks really, really lame". Which makes me think it's not going to be a big seller. But I do sort of feel like due to it's simple design it's going to have a very large number of basic structural elements in basic colors which may be a good thing to have (i like to pretend that some day I'm going to return to the halcyon days of my youth and build this wonderful original creation out of my combined legos).
But more to the point, the thing is on bulldozer tracks, and bulldozer tracks are a) also useful for making models of armored vehicles, and b) a thing I do not have.
As long as I'm going to PT twice a week there's no money in the budget for toys, but once that is done I may pick this one up.
