There is this sad thing that happens, in the moment between when Oblivion launches and when the screen resets itself to the resoultion I play the game in. This small black postage stamp of a window appears in the upper left corner of my monitor, and says to me "This, this is exactly how much of your display's potential you are using when you play this game."
