Doctor Who

Oh, me likey.

I like everything about Martha so far (except perhaps her hair) and she's no nonsense enough to complement the Doctor's battiness. In season two, it was the sugar high edge of Tennant's Doctor that meant I never really took to him as strong as I did to Eccleston's, and the episodes where he didn't grate, Rose did. She only encouraged him when he was over-silly and while I'm all for having fun, their cliquishness was boardering unwatchable.

Martha challenges him more and needs that. I won't be shipping them, mind - I think they're far better as just friends, and I appreciate not having ship forced down my throat too much as I had feared. Martha's flirting at the end was fun and I was even fine with the kiss and it's pretty rare for me to say that about canon kissing in any show.

As for Martha's family, ai, drama. But I'm fine with them in small doses.

Mr Saxon namedropped twice - once with the radio boy and once on the "Vote Saxon" poster in the alley. He's the theme of the season then?

Finally, I still love Murray Gold's music. Martha's Theme is lovely.
