Anybody else here catch the France vs Italy match? Enjoyable game - some good end to end action that was largely without the blatant diving and faking of injuries present in most Internationals. But, I could not believe the Zidane head butt!!! There was no significant physical contact prior to it that he was retaliating for - which suggests that it was a reaction to something Materazzi said. What I would give to hear what he had said that would cause a fairly collected player (we're not talking Wayne Rooney here) to throw a head butt to an unsuspecting opponent (good form on the head butt by the way, used his entire body - not one of those wimpy neck jerks you see from time to time).

I was cheering for the surrender monkeys but, c'est la vie i suppose.
