So now with the SOPA law it would be illegal if I lend a book to a friend. I think this will not help authors, I know also copyright infingment is bad for authors. But for decades books were lended between friends and that was a way for an author to get people to know them, read them and buy their books.

So I'm curious the law will help or affect authors?
