Great academic news

I've applied for the Applied Linguistics Masters program at my university with a project about fanfiction and literacy. :)

For the past month I've been reading tons of books and studying like crazy for the test, which was last Monday. I didn't think it was difficult, and I was fairly confident that I hadn't written anything stupid, but I was still nervous. The thing is the questions were rather vague - the 'comment on x' kind of thing. I can never tell with that if I wrote about the things they wanted me to write about, or if I went in a completely different direction.

Yesterday we got the results. I got 9.5! Yay! It was the highest score. Go me! Man, I am so relieved... However, it's not over yet. I still have to present my project (and answer questions about it and such) and then, if I pass that, I have to take an English test (which will be the easiest part, I think). Final results will be in mid November, so I still have one month to agonize over the process.

It's very exciting. ;)
