История про дерзкого фотографа, застенчивую модель и чопорную редакторшу. Про молодость и костенеющую старость, про смелость и нерешительность, про настойчивость и желание отступить, про талант и палки в колёса, про новые взгляды и консервативность. История одной фотосессии и успеха фотографа Дэвида Бэйли и модели Джин Шримптон.



"Шримптон и Бэйли" - сами эти имена вызывают в воображении дух той эпохи, когда Британия была символом молодежной культуры. По словам писателя Робина Мьюира, "всё началось со встречи фотографа и его музы, которые захватили сердце Нью-Йорка". Несколько простых фотографий, сделанных на улицах Манхэттэна в течение пары солнечных январских дней, возглавили "британское вторжение" в Америку. На заре 1962 года, до появления мини-юбок и оглушительного успеха The Beatles и The Rolling Stones - Дэвид Бэйли и Джин Шримптон не остались незамеченными. Диана Вриланд, только присоединившаяся  к команде американского Vogue, приветствовала их словами:  "But they are adorable! England. Has. Arrived."
