Dude! This is made of awesome. There are zombies, and Kara kicking ass, and FELIX. omg. Felix being the best thing ever, and Gaius being his own frakked-up self (although, er, would he still call Kara a Lt. or would he remember she's a captain now?).

This is utterly fabulous and sheer fun, and makes me gleeful.

This is made of awesome.

*g* Thanks! I am going through a zombie-love phase right now, so I'm glad it actually works in this universe!

although, er, would he still call Kara a Lt. or would he remember she's a captain now?

I don't know! I feel like his general disdain of the military, plus the fact that he's out of it, would make him not care about those kinds of things (plus, he first met her as a Lt., so in his frakked up head, she's probably stuck that way). Do you think I should change it? I wanted it to be another thing that was a little 'off' about Gaius, but does it work? Maybe I should add a line in there where Felix shakes his head at the mistake or something.

Thanks again! It's awesome that you enjoyed it :D

I am totally torn, as, well, that makes so much SENSE; in Gaius' head. Lt. Thrace is the one who told him "This never happened." (and the only other time after I can remember him referring to her was as Starbuck in Home)

(also, damnit, now the part of me that wants to write twisted Kara/Gaius is demanding that there be fic wherein he objects to the nuptials Kara and Anders. Drunkenly, and with loud obnoxious discussion on what constitutes 'real love', as what he felt for Gina, or something. culminating in him saying "I don't love you" to Kara and the Sixinhishead, and then stating neither of them understands love, and only ever feels lust. and argh.)

AHEM. That aside, I rather adore zombies. And the idea of a sense of history, and that there were other colonies, they were just shoved under the carpet.

Me too! There should be more cross-fandom zombie fic. Because really, when can you go wrong with zombies?? *g*

Do it!

I decided to add a couple of lines at the end the fic re: the rank, just to clarify things.

Gaius is such a fucked up motherfucker, LOL.

Creepy and very well-written! I loved the flashback scenes... I'd really like to know what happens to Gev and Emma. And of course, Felix being amazing is always a plus. You've captured the characters and the mood very well. =]

(I probably shouldn't have read this right before bed...)

Yay! Thank you!

I have a secret soft-spot for him, even though he makes some dumb mistakes.

I'd really like to know what happens to Gev and Emma

I think they get eaten, lol! Yeah, I was going to write the final zombies prevail scene with them, but then I decided that it worked to just have no one left alive on the planet.

Thank you again!

I just love this! The whole idea about other colonies makes perfect sense, as does Gaeta's being the one's who's really running things - the way he deals with Gaius rings very true. The flashbacks are stark, especially once we know how little time ago that was, and that there was no one left alive to shoot the last ones to get bitten.

You just keep wowing me with your inventiveness, and the way you have such a great grasp of your character voices.

I just love this!

Yay! Thank you! I really felt like I was going out on a limb with this story (even more than writing Helo/Tyrol slash, lol), so it makes me happy happy happy that you liked it (especially since you were excited about the concept when I posted about it earlier).

Phew. I'm so relieved they worked. I wondered if I was straying too far from the BSG 'verse, you know?

You just keep wowing me with your inventiveness, and the way you have such a great grasp of your character voices.

You just say the awesomest things! The kind of things that make me giddy and that make me use words like 'awesomest'.

Thank you again! I can't tell you how delighted I am that you enjoyed this :D

I love this. It's wonderfully creepy, especially with the idea of a recent previous settlement. And Gaeta, love him too.
