SQUEEEEEE! Oooh, I haven't even read it and I'm thanking you!! More J/H from my fav Firefly author!! Sorry about posting the request anonymously, I just forget to sign in. My name if Joanne, id jbfrancis2000. I recenly responded to the 'Jayne as weapon's expert' thread too. Just as an into, I'm from/in eastern Canada, am post 29-ish, and have been obsessed with Firefly since watching it on Dec 31, 2005. What took me so long?!

You were the first and still are the best Firefly writer I've come across. I've been a Slash hound since 1994, but this is my first het-preferred fandon. Go figure!

Now, off to read, eat, and feedback, in whichever order presents itself.:)

Yeah, it was the first fandom in which I actually wrote het. I don't write a lot of it, but it's there. Firefly made me write het! I never expected that at all.

Right! I'd read the script, when it became available online, and the whole idea of Jayne hooking up with a blonde whore got me to thinking about what she might be like. It was very odd for me. I loved it, but to write something without even seeing the episode? that is completely unlike me. But Sturdy is one of the stories that I remain really happy with. So I'm glad it worked!

why are there not more fics in which women get to playfully slap Jaynes' muscular buttocks?

Hee! I can just imagine the look on his face when it happens - a bit of a leer, a bit of shock, a bit of excitement. Yes. There should be more!

Of course an intelligent womam would have some resentment and be very uninclined to entertain (can't apply the word 'sevice' to her work, it's one of the many things I find wrong with Inara's ways.) the same old crowdI agree. I'm sure there are other men who weren't involved - but I think some of the whores might take it upon themselves ( ... )

Yay! A sequel to Sturdy. Love that story so, so much and I love this one. It's funny and sexy, especially this part:

"So. You busy now?" His shirt is feeling real constricting now, tight around his throat.

Pants too, they're too tight.

Helen's eyes flicker down for a second, and then she smiles the sexy smile he remembers, the one he thinks about some nights in his bunk. Her eyelids droop a little, and she takes a couple of deep, slow breaths, her breasts straining against her top.

Yep, very sexy and it made me smile so much that I even forgot to yawn (had a sleepless night because of the Oscars, it's from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. here in Poland) . And it has a lovely little Jayne/Simon scene as a bonus.

Really! Shiny! It's one of the ones I'm very happy with, and it was so different for me to write. So it's awesome that you like it, and this one too.

These two stories are wonderful! Hadn't read "Sturdy" before, so read it first. Perfect! And to think you hadn't even seen the episode! Kudos! This one, too, was spot on. I loved your take on all the characters. It was if I could see them! Jayne in his best shirt and mostly clean pants. So cute! Helen pretending not to know Jayne was watching. Smart girl! And, if you can't have the sexin', the ending had just the right amount of innuendo. *g*

Way to go!
