500 cals per day

does anyone know if a 500 calorie per day diet of mainly veggies and some fruits (mostly neg. cal foods) enough to keep my metabolism up and loose weight? It will probably be a slow paced weight loss but I know I can keep to this plan. Oh and I am giving up 100 percent chewing and spitting. I think it has been keeping me from losing. So this next week should be interesting. Any advice on the diet girls??? and guys!
