Herbal Essences: Totally Twisted is totally exquisite!
By far the best shampoo I've ever tried in terms of scent, effect, design and packaging. I'm just so happy with this product that I need to blog about it!
I was really attracted to the packaging at first, then the fact that it was designed to accentuate waves and curls, then the wild cherry scent. I had qualms about what it would do to my hair because I heard that locally-made shampoo is best for our Asian hair but after some time I noticed that it would enhance the volume of my hair and bring out my waves more. And it's only a little above P200 for a big 355 mL bottle.
I always look forward to taking a bath because I get to use this shampoo. The other day in the shower, I read the back for the first time and was surprised to see that even the instructions and tips were written quite creatively. How fun!
YOU KNOW THE DRILL: Ride the waves as you lather, rinse and repeat.
And while, I'm at the subject of pampering the body, I'm proud to say that I've finished the yoga package I got from Groupon. I've decided to attend 4 more sessions so I finish Level 1 of the program. At first I couldn't get myself to start because I found it difficult to go to Magallanes. Aside from the fact that it had already been paid for, the voucher also had a 1-month validity that I had to make so I really had to push myself.
I surprisingly enjoyed my first session even if it was a struggle for me to do even the most basic poses like the forward bend and lunge. Back in the day, it was so easy for me to do push-ups. Then when I had to do it for the first time in...a very looong time, I was literally shaking. As in NANGINGINIG.
It's great though because my flexibility and strength improve as I go along. We're doing this weird breathing exercise that I still don't understand. I don't even know if I'm doing it right but whatever, it seems to be working. I feel more energized and motivated to continue exercising. Soon I'll be breaking in my brand new and never been used Adidas running shoes I bought last year! I still want to proceed to Level 2 of the program but I'm not sure if I have the money for it... huhu. Why do keeping fit and eating healthy have to be so expensive...
I'm also trying out this "no meat" thing for Lent. There's a disclaimer though, it only applies when I have control of what I'm eating i.e. if I'm at home and only meat is served, then I eat what's on the table. I don't believe in depriving myself of proper nutrition, so yeah, I think that should be acceptable. Right? And this is something I could probably do for the rest of my life. Well, I actually believe in eating meat, so maybe I can reduce on beef and fat (my favorite).
Woohoo! I'm on the way to becoming a whole new me!
