I'm listening to some wizard music, up in my room on a pleasant rainy day. I'm just kinda chilling and working on my projects. It bothers me that we make such a big moral difference between compensated work and work done for the sake of it's doing.
I'm debating getting a ticket back to austin for the Jumpentyne solutions yearly confrence (tubing in suits.) It would give me a good opportunity to pick up some needed items for my workshop, and meet with my partner on the drum machine project. Only problem is it costs money, and I don't have that much money. But it doesn't cost so much that it will kill my ability to pay rent or anything. It's one of these financial decisions where I usually drop into a victorian mindset of "well you should delay gratification and save your money" but that really hasn't worked out for me in the past.
Also, they have an air raid siren that goes off every week, and a robot voice says "THIS IS A TEST" It's pretty good.
