You know, Twilight probably wouldn't suck half as much in another language. You'd still get the story, but you don't have to read any of SMeyer's actual writing. I wonder if it's in German. I need to practice my German. And speaking of, have a conversation from dinner:
Me: Want to go see Twilight with me?
Boy: [incredulous look followed by a string of profanity]
M: So I should drag one of my unsuspecting classmates along?
B: You should take V. [the new student from Germany] She hardly understands the language . . . but wait, then she'll go back, tell everyone what America's really like, and then they're going to resurrect the Führer and send missiles loaded with zombie Nazis.
M: . . . so by seeing Twilight, I'm going to cause the Apocalypse?
