Title: the red queen and the white
Paring: Isabella/Marian
Rating: PG-13
Spoilers/Warnings: very, very AU
Word Count: 585
A/N: For snowystingray in the isabella_giz Secret Santa. I sat down to write Mazabella kicking some Team Castle ass and . . . ended up with this. I hope you find this sort of Mazabella okay as well! Happy Holidays!

She knows that this is just another scene for Isabella, another chance to direct things in a way that will be useful for her. Marian knows because she recognizes something of herself in the woman. )

marian/isabella, la femme, robin hood

Very interesting! and beautifully written, of course. I'd love to see more of this AU.

(And Guy would totally freak. Heh.)

Wow, this is one pairing I hadn't really considered (I mean other than as an unstoppable crime-fighting duo), but the characterization is supremely interesting, and it's a wonderful portrait you've sketched of both of them. Love!

Trust me, YES YES YES, this sort of Mazabella is so very much okay by me. I love how you took two ladies who tend to have relationships defined by some quick clever talking and verbal manipulations, and instead gave them a scene that is completely dialogue-free where they can play it all by looks and touches.

AND THAT LAST PARAGRAPH. WHAT. SUCH A PERFECT ENDING. It's sexy and playful and intense and funny and basically, just, omggg thank you!! ♥

OH HELLO! I'd never once considered this pairing, but it makes so much sense when you think about it.

Marian knows that this woman has a hundred different masks, that she will say what she needs to and play the role the situation calls for.

Excellent characterization. That's Isabella down to a tee.

The Isabella of many masks. Yet Marian is just as tricky as you pointed out. What's more awesome is that both through those masks get to experience something honest. Smart and strong and beautiful. The story I mean.
