and to think that i always dread tuesdays
ordinarily my tuesday is not a fun day. 1030-12 orgo lab lecture with a new teacher whose best feature so far is his polish accent. i have to stop blatantly doing other things during his class like playing hangman as he knows my name. i have an hour to eat and then i go straight to orgo lab itself. that takes as long as it takes--so far thats usually been around 3 hours. then 630-8 i have orgo lecture recitation, which always includes a quiz. not a fun day.
this morning, i had a lab exam--not shaping up so well, as the professor is new and we had no idea what to expect. he posted lab exams from last year and two years ago as practice i guess but they were from a different teacher. i looked them over, knew most of it, and felt ready going in. i open up the test when we get it and start laughing. the test was a mix of questions from those two tests for which we had the answer key online. VERBATIM. there was nothing else. no new questions. he didnt even switch around the numbers on the multiple choice. unfortunately i didnt look over those tests as well as i would have liked and there were a couple of things i didnt remember (hell, i didnt even know i had to know the structure of acetaminophen) but overall i walked out of that test with the best feeling ive had walking out of a test since the A&P final i had in 11th grade that i finished in 4 minutes. hopefully that should work out
plus, i took a practice MCAT two days ago. no preparation whatsoever, 5 weeks of orgo behind me, and all my physics knowledge coming from the course i took at clown college two summers ago. i got a 27--certainly not what im aiming for, but a lot higher than i expected and not a bad place to start from.
and the lab that looked like it would be a beast only took two hours and change and most of that was waiting time.
just one of those days where everything just works out
