Wow, It's Been Awhile

Hikaru frowned, feeling particularly petulant. It wasn't his way to put too much thought into anything, but over the last few days he had found himself unusually thoughtful.

Kaoru yawned. "What's wrong?"

Not feeling particularly forthcoming, either, Hikaru just shrugged. "Just thinking. Too much thinking."

"Ahh." Kaoru stood up and stretched, scratching his stomach as he let out an enormous yawn. "Haruhi?"

"Kaoru..." Hikaru groaned. "I don't really want to talk about it."

His brother nodded knowingly. "It's Kyouya, isn't it? And how odd they've been acting lately."

Hikaru didn't answer. Instead, he flipped onto his stomach, staring at the wall.

"It bothers me, too," Kaoru told him, throwing his shirt off into a far corner of the room. "But I don't think there's anything to worry about."

"What about the beach house?" Hikaru asked suddenly, his voice hard.
