The Prologue to an Unforgettable Dream

So... today was boring. No joke. heh heh. All in all, I did NOTHING. Well, I started my summer reading project FINALLY! and read the first part of The Great Gatsby. I like it more than I thought I did; I really like the style. The language has a sort of... original flow to it, and even though (because I was exhausted when I read it) it was a little difficult to wade through, I think that this project won't be as hard as I was afraid it would be. Really though, it surprises me how badly I underestimate my own abilities. I read the requirements, and I was so sure that all I did would hardly qualify for the class, and that I wouldn't understand anything (because the entries we write on the book are supposed to show "a deeper understanding of what the author is saying") and that I would fail miserably before the year even started. I still have about 135 pages to go... I only read 45. 180 exactly... go figure. A great number. (it's divisible by 3... and you know my thing about that. heh.) I still have to read The Glass Menagerie though. All of it. It's like... hmm, don't remember, but one-fourth of it is 24.25 pages, I do remember that. We're supposed to read that much (one-fourth) of each book, and then do a little entry thing on it, then continue in that manner til the rest of the book is read. I was so proud of myself for doing it... I wanted to write this "friend-drabble" idea thing I had. Will power finally rears its beautiful head! YAH! ha... well, guess that's it. Just wanted an entry to get this thing started. I'm going to be using it for stories and things... mostly. heh. well... bye bye bye
