Cowboy Bebop sudden idea
Spike/Faye
She does not know what she will do without him.
Holding onto him is like grabbing smoke - she knows it is futile to even try. She knows that he belongs to no one, that he is not even hers to mourn, but she wants to reach out and grab and find more than wisps of smoke curling around her fingertips. She wants to believe that she matters to him, too.
But inside he is shattered, and she knows that she is not the one who will make him whole again. She knows that however heavy the memory becomes and however cold her blood runs in her veins, she is just another sad soul laying roses on his grave. She never knew him - not really. And her feelings will never be his. He will never want to know her like she so desperately wants to know him.
And she hates how her emotions rule her whenever he's involved, and she hates how thinking of him always makes her seem so maudlin.
The world will move on without him, she realizes.
And that is what frightens her more than anything.

Blargh. This REALLY wasn't good, but I need the practice. I think of this kind of stuff a lot, but I'm never courageous enough to make the effort to get it down. Still too disjointed - no real connecting sort of "theme", and definitely no direction.
How sad my feeble attempts are. I shall continue to practice. I can only hope that'll help!
