CELEBRATION POST!
The semester is over! I turned my last project in yesterday and I am officially done until some time in January. This semester was BRUTAL. I don't think I can stress that enough, really. It was awful. One of my projects? Well, it was a 5 page introduction about themes and all that good stuff, then a selection of text from the work (I chose to do The Great Gatsby) then ten pages of endnotes about the passage. IT WAS SO ROUGH. And now I know way more about Fitzgerald, American in the 20s, and critical opinion of the symbols in the novel than I ever wanted to ever. BLAHR.
Other news? (Because I don't want to talk about school. But I will take virtual hugs about school.) Well, I'm rethinking my decision to go to grad school. I still want to (sort of...), but I am so burnt out right now. I may wait a year before I go, try to work a little. I'm thinking of applying for internships at a few publishing houses. That would be ideal, but we'll see how that goes. Finances are getting a little strained, but for now I'm dealing with it.
I also started playing Mass Effect, and I really like it so far. Our friend Cameron is playing through FFXIII right now, and watching him really makes me want to play it, too. We'll see if I have time, I guess.
