Book 01

So the first book I read this year was The Horse and His Boy. I love The Chronicles of Narnia, so I do like to re-visit it occasionally in my -ahem- old age. This one, in terms of story, is one of my favorites. I love the "lost/secret prince" plot; the story I've been working on, the GCS, has that - I tend to adore stories that feature that plot. I don't really have too much to say about this one - I guess because I've read it so many times before. But it was fun and an easy read. I really like The Silver Chair, too. And The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and Voyage of the Dawn Treader. I think The Magician's Nephew and The Last Battle are my least favorites. I read The Magician's Nephew when I was really young - like six or seven - and I remember that it sort of freaked me out. When Diggory and Polly rang the bell I was like "Why?! Don't!" and then Jadis was sort of freaky in her dead sun world. I don't know - I just remember being vaguely unnerved. Heh.
