An atomic theory of kissing

Mar 24, 2005 22:40

At a certain point in a young lady's life, she will have acquired all the "elemental" kissing experiences of her life. That is to say: all the main types will have been catalogued, and can be plotted out on a periodic table--the strontiums, the hydrogens, the heliums, the gold. After this point, all that remains is either recurrence of known elemental atoms, or molecules made of elemental atomic components. Someone will be, for example, Sodium Chloride (NaCl), an amalgamation of the first boy you kissed sloppily at a bus stop and the awkward date you had two summers ago. You cannot kiss anybody without kissing a Frankenstein of past boyfriends and flings.

Which is to say, I am disappointed.

Which is to say: isn't there an Einsteinium or a Californium out there? (Maybe only in a laboratory setting.)
