Neither of my names have actual meaning, per say, but both were Greek gods/goddesses. My name is Cynthia Denise.

Cynthia was aka the more common name of Artemis, the virgin goddess of the Hunt and the Moon. I don't see much similarity, although I do love nature and animals. Except that she was a huntress so it was slightly different. Her twin was Apollo. Artemis was a feminist in a sense I am too, but I wouldn't go so far to say that I'm a liberal feminist. In any case, her personality and decision making was quite decisive so I am very much like her in that respect.

Now Denise is a feminine form of Dionysus, God of Wine, Sex and Intoxication which I think is terribly amusing! :P He is credited with creating "great orgasms". Naturally I like to think that as a woman, I can do that just as well (if not better) than he. :P As far as the alcohol portion of it goes, I have mixed feelings on that. I do like to drink but my years of living with an alcoholic have somewhat cooled that.

In any case, this is a fascinating subject! I love it. I might just have to snag it from you, that is if you don't mind. I'm curious to know what my flist would say too.
