Ok, so here is the deal.
About a week and a half ago Tiffany and I bought a car. I think it was the 3rd that we bought it. It's a Midnight blue Toyota Corolla. 35,000 miles. Ok interior. Drives pretty well. Cost us 10,900+TTL+warranty comes out to be about 14,000. We showed were in the showing it off stage of the process so we went to Taylor to go show Tiffany's dad the car. Well we were having difficulty finding her dad's house, even with her GPS. We were apparently right in front of the house. So we are on the road to get to her dads house and we don't find it, no biggy. We drive down and can't find it, we drive back and can't find it. I pull into someones driveway and tell Tiffany to call her dad to ask where and she says to just drive down and she knows it's on this street. We drive down and are looking on both sides of the road for the house and then....
BAM!!!!
So yeah... We got T-boned at a small intersection. Driver's side door was smashed in. Like "My God Tom you didn't die?" smashed in. Everyone was allright, but still the car was as we found out, totaled. Sucks. Did I mention the whole we had the car for 6 days before Tom totaled it. So we've been dealing with the insurance company for the better part of the week trying to get everything settled. They finally paid off the car and gave us 2100. The dealer actually ended up giving us the warranty back, as well as GAP insurance (which everyone buying a new car needs to buy) so... they gave us about 2000 and it just so happen that yesterday the got in another Toyota Corolla. It has 55,000 miles and is silver, not blue, but still. It was 600 cheaper, and it is actually a nicer car. It is the LE version of the corolla where as the other was a CE (not as nice). Also the person who bought it before us spent 17000 on it and had some upgrades done. It has keyless entry (which you apparently need to unlock the car before opening the trunk or the alarm goes off), basically surround sound speakers for a car (one on either front door) nice fabric seats, floor mats(other one didn't), a pocket on the back of the passenger seat (again missing from the blue one, smoother drive and better brakes, and that's about all i can think of for now. The dealer said part of the reason it was so cheap was that they hadn't gotten to the whole painting and fixing stuff part of it being on the lot, we bought it the first day it was there. There are two itty bitty scratches that got fixed on the paint, but it's not a big deal (not to pay more anyways). On top of all that, the car payments will be 20 bucks less on the silver one than the blue one.
There you have it.
Pictures of the new car to come.
PS
Sorry Paul, forgot to call as I have been busy. Also blue car was Inara. Silver car is Anya.
