Boss, to coworker: "Did you hang out with Mark McCarthy this weekend?"
Coworker: "I did not."
Boss: "I can tell, cuz you're not growing out your beard."
Me: "What, is that a side effect of hanging out with me?"
Boss: "I think that could be an SNL sketch, yes."
[EDIT] And just now from a coworker:
"Mark's, like, a hybrid." Turning to me, "You do some database too, right? You're like the Blade of the office." Walking off, "Half vampire...and half black...bottom half."
[EDIT2] And just now:
"Man, we got some kinda Civil War thing going on here. We're the north, they're the south."
"What about Mark?"
"He, uh...he's the neutral ground in the middle."
"Oh great, I'm Kentucky?"
