On Valentine's Day, Claire (the gf) and I went to the Russian-Turkish Baths then got amazing Indian food. It's the first Valentine's Day where I have a girlfriend and she's also around, and I wasn't about to squander it. The relationship is also getting weirdly serious. And we're both in the middle of existential crises. But overall, good.
I'm so miserably poor right now. Ladies: want gender equality? Why not make it a two-way street and destroy the notion that the guy needs to pay for EVERYTHING. I had a temp job, then it ended. Now I need a new one. The New York Public library seems to want to give me a job, but I'd need to work some nights and weekends. But I'd get full benefits. Maybe I should suck it up. But either way it won't materialize for another few weeks, and I need money now.
But the site is coming along. I bought a domain name and hosting for a year, now we just need to put things on it!
Most of my NYC social groups are converging with little help from me and it's getting a bit weird.
And oh yeah: why didn't my friends do a better job of stressing that NPR is good?
