So I've learned a tiny bit more about my fathers condition so far

I so sorry sweetheart. A few years back, my mother discovered she had breast cancer, and it came on very rapidly. she had a check up one year, and they found nothing at all....then, 8 months later, they said she was " eaten up " with it, and were very afraid.

When she went to start Chemo, the Dr. told us, he didn't expect her to make it....and that even if she did....that her current condition (which was not good) was the best we'd ever hope to see her again. She went thru Chemo, and it was rough on her and us, but today she's in remission, and honestly, you can hardly tell she ever went thru it. She's as normal as she ever was before. Only recently have i started to notice how much color it washed out of her. She's full Cherokee...and now her skin is much lighter than mine. Odd how that works.

Honestly, no matter what they think might happen, don't you ever give up hope. It doesn't promise a happy ending, but, you know your dad would never give up hope nor would he want you to. If there is anything i can do, even if its just someone to chat with.....you of course have my full and undivided attention for as long as you need it.
