tired...

Ugh, I feel like I'm coming down with something.. goin to bed early tonight it seems..

Man today sucked. I had an idiot Springer Spaniel who kept wanting to turn around during his entire groom. I even went as far as to put him on the other side of the table (so he's facing the window instead of the walkway) and he kept trying to turn back around. Ahh! Because he kept moving around and wouldn't stand straight, his skirt was all uneven and not blended very well. Shannon said it looked good, but I sure didn't think so.

Oh well.. After wasting lots of time on that dog, I had to hurry up and do my next two dogs (one owner called TWO HOURS before the due-out time to see how much longer on their dog.. um hello! I haven't even started yet!!) Luckily those two were good. An adorable little Pom who was just the sweetest thing, and some weird Bichon/Chinese Crested Powderpuff/weirdo mix. Omg, this dog had to many deformities it was sick. I felt bad for the poor thing.. it's not his fault that he's a product of bad breeding. He was very sweet though.. full of puppy kisses. :)

Then I had a giant Chow come in (he was bigger than any Chow I've ever seen) for a BLENDED LION'S cut! Ahh, I had NEVER done one of these before.. it was very interesting to say the least. Funny how people always pick the hardest haircuts on dogs that are skiddish and AFRAID OF EVERYTHING! It was a nightmare trying to groom this dog. He would try and scoot off the table, and when I went to grab him and pull him back on the table, he would snap at me! So I took his ass to the back to finish the groom. Anytime the scissors came near his head, he would suddenly turn and I'd take a big chunk out of his fur. And in order for me to blend the mane, I had to take the lead off him and tie it around his waist instead.. and that freaked him out! He kept trying to sit down, and would scream and thrash around. I did the best I could do and sent him home.

I left about 4:45.. traffic blew.. and I BARELY had enough time to take a quick shower before I had to pick up Sarah from daycare. On a good note though, she was so full of energy and in a great mood when I picked her up. She ran over to me shouting "MOMMY!" It was wonderful. I'd write more, but I'm just feeling weird.. feverish.. bleh!
