Today is my birthday! It's pretty much a normal day, except that people keep calling me and singing me happy birthday. :-) I love it.
Chris swears up and down that he called me last night at midnight and sang to me, but I have no recollection of this. Apparently I spoke and everything. I can't believe myself...there weren't even drugs involved. Not that there usually are (you know what I mean). I do remember, though, that Chris gave me the new Bright Eyes (Digital Ash in a Digital Urn), as well as Mark Twain's Helpful Hints for Good Living: A Handbook for the Damned Human Race. I love them! And him.
Also, Elizabeth and I are going to get pedicures after work for my birthday! I've never had a pedicure, but I'm very excited, because I already think my feet are nice, and I think this will make them especially nice. It's the idea that if something is already good, it's easy and fun to make it even better. Mixed in with that idea is the corresponding idea of vanity.
