A/N: This is my first fanfiction I’ve written in over a year, and my first J2 RPS fic. Feedback is <3. Constructive Criticism is welcome.
A/N #2: What started out as a one-shot, has now turned into a multi-part fic. This second part took a while to post because I kept writing and re-writing, never completely satisfied with it. And then I decided that I couldn’t wrap this up in two parts, so there will be a third part on the way.

Jensen pulled up to the high school and parked in a vacant space. Glancing at the time on the dash he noted that it was 2:56. Jared would be finished for the day in just a few minutes and they would be headed out of town for a long weekend with the guys. Shutting off the ignition, Jensen left the radio on and leaned back in his seat, closing his eyes while he waited for Jared to exit the school building.
The sound of knocking on his window had Jensen’s eyes flicker open, automatically noting the time as 3:04, and he looked to his left to spot Chad standing outside his driver’s side door. Jensen rolled down his window and issued a casual greeting to Jared’s long-time best friend.
“Hey Chad, what’s up?”
“Hey Jensen, Jared asked me to tell you that he had to stay behind after class and that you should meet him by his locker in 5 minutes.”
“Sure. Why’d he have to stay behind?”
“I don’t know. Something about Mr. Morgan needing to speak to him.”
“Alright, thanks man.” Jensen nodded, taking the keys of the ignition and slipping them into his pocket. Chad nodded and left the school grounds.
Jensen was just exiting his car when he heard his cell ring. Extracting is from his jacket pocket, he rolled his eyes at the number on the Caller ID and flipped open his phone.
‘Hey jack-ass, where the hell are you?’ Chris’ voice penetrated from the speaker as soon as the call was answered. ‘It’s ten after three, Steve and I are almost finished packing the truck with all the gear, just waiting on you and the kid to get your shit together and get your asses over here.’
“Listen ass-hat, I’m at the school right now, just waiting on Jared. He had to stay behind to talk to his teacher, Mr. Morgan. I gotta go meet him at his locker now, so as soon as we leave, we’ll just grab his bag from his house and swing over to your place. I already have my bag in my trunk, ready to go.” Jensen told him, shaking his head and he started towards the front entrance to the school.
‘Fine, I’ll tell Steve you’re gonna be late, but if you’re not here by 3:30, then we’re leaving without you, and you can find your own way to the cabin.’ Chris huffed his reply.
“You do that.” Jensen smirked and disconnected the call. He knew Chris wouldn’t ditch them, even if he was 2 hours late. He’d just bitch about it the entire drive.
Jensen jogged up the front steps and entered the school’s lobby. He headed up the first staircase to his right and stepped out onto the right wing of the second floor where Jared’s locker was located. The corridor was already empty of students and staff, as Jensen approached the locker, but Jared was not there waiting for him. Already knowing the combination, Jensen opened the locker revealing Jared’s jacket and his class schedule. Glancing at his watch anxiously, he wondered what was taking Jared so long. His thoughts were interrupted by the sharp ring of his cell phone.
“Jared?”
“It’s Chris. Me and Steve are on the way to the school. Jensen, where’s Jared?”
“I’m still waiting on him…”
“Shit. Listen, go find him. Right now. Steve just told me a disturbing rumor about that new English teacher of his, Mr. Morgan.” Chris paused cryptically.
“Keep talking. I’m heading towards Morgan’s classroom. That’s where Jared was last according to Chad.” Jensen spoke urgently as he ran through the school halls.
“Turns out Morgan has an appetite for young boys. He was accused of sexual harassment at his last school. No charges were officially made and he wasn’t convicted of anything, so the school didn’t feel they had just cause to fire him. But the parents and the school board got involved and demanded some kind of resolution, so he was ‘forcefully resigned’.” Chris paused again, telling Steve to ‘hurry the fuck up and get to the school’. “Listen, Jenny… just because Jared’s a little late get out of school doesn’t mean anything, okay? Morgan might not have anything to do with this.” Chris knew his reassurance that everything would be fine sounded hollow.
Jensen heard what Chris was saying, but he felt it in the pit of his stomach that something was not right.
“I swear if he’s touched Jared, hurt a single hair on his head, I will kill him.”
“Just don’t do anything stupid. We’re almost there. Just find Jared and wait for us.” Chris instructed. “And if anything did happen, we’ll let the cops handle it, okay?” The line was silent, just the harsh sound of shoes slapping against tile. “Jensen! Did you hear me?”
“Yeah… I heard you.” Jensen huffed into the phone. “Just get here soon.” He flipped the phone shut and ran around the corner that would bring him to Morgan’s classroom and slammed into a hard body. Stumbling back a few steps, he looked up to see a disheveled Mr. Morgan steadying himself with one hand, while straightening his clothes and hair with the other. “You!” Jensen almost snarled, narrowing his eyes at the older man. “Where’s Jared? If you did anything, I swear to God…”
Jeff Morgan looked affronted and straightened up his posture. “Excuse me? I don’t you what you’re implying, but Mr. Padalecki left my classroom almost 15 minutes ago.”
“I know he had to stay behind after class to talk to you-“
“Not that it should be of any concern to you, but he did see me after class, for all of 5 minutes when I asked him about his grades. Then I sent him on his way. Now if you don’t mind, I’d like to get home to enjoy the rest of my weekend.” Jeff pushed past Jensen and hastily walked down the corridor.
“I don’t have time for this…” Jensen muttered to himself and jogged towards Morgan’s abandoned classroom, the door left ajar. Slowing down as he approached the door, he took a deep breath and stepped inside, calling Jared’s name. “Jared? Jare, you here?” He looked around, but didn’t see anyone inside at first glance. “Jared?”
A muffled sound had Jensen whipping around lightning fast as he spotted two shoes poking out from behind the open classroom door. Pushing the door back, he spotted Jared sitting on the floor, curled up in the corner of the room. His knees were pushed up against his chest, his arms wrapped tightly around his legs, and his head bowed, pressed against his chest. Jensen paused to marvel at how a six-foot guy could curl into such a small ball.
“Jared? It’s Jensen.” Jensen got to his knees and crawled forward, not daring to touch him just yet. “Jare? Babe… c’mon talk to me. Are you okay? Did - did Morgan… did he do anything to you?”
Jared shuddered and whimpered at the mere mention of his teacher’s name. Jensen tensed and couldn’t restrain himself, as he reached out and placed a gentle hand on the side of Jared’s face, lifting his head up to face him. Jared’s face was tear-streaked and rubbed red, his chocolate eyes were bloodshot and filled with hurt, pain and fear. What Jensen saw made him freeze before pulling Jared to his chest in a desperate hug for comfort and reassurance.
“Jen…” Jared whispered his name, muffled against Jensen’s shoulder.
“Jay, babe, you gotta tell me what happened. I gotta know so I can make this right.”
“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry…” Jared hiccupped, burying his face against Jensen’s body as a fresh wave of sobs racked through his body.
“Jared. Jay. You don’t have anything to be sorry for… but please, tell me what happened.” Jensen paused, an icy fist tightened around his stomach. “Please tell me… was it Mr. Morgan? Did he do something to you?”
Jared opened his mouth to speak, but the words couldn’t seem to come out, so he nodded instead. It was just a slight, tiny movement, but one that seemed to bring the entire world crashing around the two of them. Jensen closed his eyes in resignation, the tiny bit of hope that flickered inside of him 5 minutes ago died at that small movement.
“C’mon. I’m gonna get you out of here, okay?” Jensen stood up and reached down to help Jared stand, noticing the way he squeezed his eyes shut and hissed out a breath in pain. Jensen clenched his jaw as thoughts of how to murder the teacher ran through his head. He couldn’t think about that now though, his first responsibility was to Jared. Wrapping an arm around his waist, he grabbed Jared’s bag and walked them both out of the classroom and out of the school.
Chris and Steve just pulled into the parking lot and saw Jensen and Jared walking slowly down the front steps, Jensen wrapping a protective arm around Jared’s waist. Pulling the truck up to the stairs, Chris and Steve jumped out and raced to meet Jensen at the bottom of the stairs.
“Is he okay? Did Morgan -“ Chris was stopped by a whimper emitted from Jared.
“Jensen, get him in the truck and we’ll take him to the hospital.” Steve said, opening the passenger side door of his truck.
“I’m not leaving him alone!” Jensen nearly snarled, almost imperceptibly tightening his arm around Jared.
“You don’t have to. You’re not going to be able to drive like this, so get in the truck and let Chris bring both of you to the hospital. I’ll follow in your car.” Steve suggested, “Then we’ll call the cops.”
“Okay -“ Jensen started.
“No…” Jared protested, in a barely audible whisper. “Please, no hospital, no cops.”
“Jay, we have to take you to the hospital. You need to be checked out. I need to know you’re okay.” Jensen pleaded with his boyfriend.
“I’m not okay!” Jared snapped, his breath hitching.
Chris sent a subtle glance to Jensen and Steve, and then took a step closer to Jared.
“Jared, kid, we just want you to get checked out. I know nothing seems okay right now, but we need to know how physically injured you might be. That’s why we want to take you to the hospital. You need to be looked at.” Chris said in a soft, low voice, as if he were speaking to a skittish, injured animal.
“And we want to call the cops and let them know what happened so they can arrest Morgan for what he did to you, and so he can never do this to anyone else again.” Steve added, speaking in the same low tone.
“Okay, Jay?” Jensen asked one more time, twisting his head to catch Jared’s eye. “We’re not gonna let anything else happen to you, okay? I promise you that, Jay. I swear on my life.”
After what seemed forever in silence, Jared lifted his head slightly and nodded.
“Okay. I’ll go.” He whispered. “Just - just don’t leave me alone…”
“I won’t.” Jensen promised.
